ADministrators should vote for or against each point or vote to abstain.

  • Only items that receive a majority aye vote will be enacted.
  • Items that receive a majority nay vote will be formally rejected.
  • Items that do not receive a majority aye or nay vote will be open to possible amendment by any Administrators if he so chooses. After the amendment process is complete, the item will be voted on one last time.
  • Items that receive a majority abstentions will need to go through an amendment process and be re-voted on once.

Conditional votes for, against, or to abstain should be explained by the Administrators in parenthesis after his time-stamped signature. For example, an Administrator can state that he would only favor a particular remedy based on whether or not another remedy/remedies were enacted.

Proposed principles

proposed wording to be modified by Arbitrators and then voted on

1) Players have the right to determine the backstory of their own nations, and other players attempting to alter the backstory of nations that they do not control are engaging in godmoddery.

Honest attempts to update another nation's backstory should still be permitted, as this is in the spirit of NSwiki, but substantive changes should be discussed beforehand on that article's Talk page, and the decision of the Nation owner should be considered final.

Note: This should not be used to establish precedent for Regions, Alliances, Wars, or other shared roleplay where there is no clear owner.

Public discussion by arbitrators

I've added a couple specific injunctions against Syskeyia in the Remedies section, with a 24-hour ban to enforce them. However, I think there has to be a more general injuction againt real-life edits in this case - not sure how to word it, though. --Goobergunch|? 19:54, 24 Oct 2004 (GMT)

I just posted this to User talk:Syskeyia and posted evidence to NSwiki:Arbitration/Syskeyia

I am amazed to discover that you continue to edit Knootian pages while an arbitration case is open with you as a respondant. Your alterations to Knootian independence have been noted in the arbitration pages above. I strongly advise that you cease and desist editing Knootian pages while this arbitration is ongoing. Frisbeeteria Θtalk 00:47, 25 Oct 2004 (GMT)

I'm not sure what sort of injunctions we should be recommending, but it is obvious to me that this user does not intend to be influenced by voluntary sanctions. Given the fact that this arbitration has not been decided, I did not roll back the changes, but it seems to me that they were intended to be vandalism. Frisbeeteria Θtalk 00:58, 25 Oct 2004 (GMT)

I reverted on ground of blatant vandalism. --Goobergunch|? 02:01, 25 Oct 2004 (GMT)
