When moving a page there are various things that must be considered. Unless the page obviously belongs elsewhere (and even if it does, if it is a popular page) discussion should occur in the talk page first, to come to a consensus. To move a page, simply click the move tab and type in the new name for the page. Note that you must be logged in. However, it is important that all pages linking to the old title be edited to link to the new title, -- so click on the What links here link in the toolbox on the sidebar, and change the old links.

An exception to this would be newly created pages in the wrong namespace or pages that are in obvious violation of the naming conventions. Those pages may be moved to appropriate locations by community members or sysops. In most cases of naming convention errors, the original title will be left as a redirect. In most cases of namespace error, the redirect will be deleted.
