Templates are used within articles to provide a consistent look to the messages placed into them. Changes to the look, wording, or style of the message can be implemented quickly, because templates are rendered for the reader when the article loads.

Note: "msg:" can now be dispensed with when placing a template in an article. For example, use {{stub}}, not {{msg:stub}}. Spaces in the name are allowed, e.g. {{train topics}}.

Stubs

An NSwiki stub is different from a Wikipedia stub in that only you know all the history of your nation. Don't add a {{stub}} just to indicate "I'll be back later to finish this". Overuse of stubs skews the NSwiki statistics and makes the wiki look smaller than it actually is. Remember that in a wiki community, every page can be improved by any other community member, so you don't need stubs for every incomplete article.

User Talk Pages

To be placed at the end of talk pages. Some of these will not have any actual effect unless placed by a sysop, but most may be used by any wiki community member. See Welcome Talk for additional discussion.

{{subst:blanking}}
Talk

Please do not replace NSwiki pages with blank content. Blank pages are harmful to NSwiki because they have a tendency to confuse users. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. Thanks for contributing to NSwiki!

Note: this page is unintentionally a member of several categories. Don't worry about this; it's harmless.

Full explanation: this page is not meant to belong in all of these categories. However, some of the templates included by this page contain links to categories in which all pages carrying the template should be. A side effect is that this page is added to all the categories. Additionally, some categories may be listed more than once, if more than one template uses the same category.
