Naïē was the Asuanituan colony of the South Continent, but was quickly absorbed by the Baranxtuan colony of Bari Nazer. Only after the 2006 Reforms, Naïη reemerged as a province of its own.

The standard of living is very high throughout the whole province, largely due to its status as the center of Baranxtuan high-tech industry.

Name

Although its exact origins are unknown, it is suspected that Naïē actually derives from the same root as "Āþ-Neila", with the exception that it doesn't reference a city, but a hill itself.

The Nehij is a rather prominent hill close to the border with Bari Nazer, where the first settlers arrived. They probably named the colony after the Neimi word for the area, namely Nehijaa.

The flag of Naïē was designed in 2005, in anticipation of the 2006 reforms.

The design is actually an almost exact copy of the Banner of Balitra, the aristocratic dynasty that financed the establishing of the Asuanituan colony.
