Nabarran Cortes

The Constituent Cortes is the unicameral legislature of the Empire of Nabarro Abarca. Its structure and responsibilities are defined in the Nabarran Constitution. However, under recent amendments to the Constitution of the Confederated Peoples, there will be no further intragovernmental union between the Confederal Members comprising Nabarro Abarca and the Cortes is scheduled to dissolve permanently within the next year. While the Cortes is generally supportive of the new constitutional reforms, it is nonetheless bittersweet about the end of its own long history as an institution and its last days as an official body have largely been given to reflecting on the past, taking steps to ensure the historical record and to preserve the building and certain ceremonial artifacts for history and honoring the service of the members.
