GEOGRAPHY

The land of Naktan is a relatively flat land. It is a nation that has broad borders and much room to expand into, but very few natural resources. The Gatuins Mountains in the western lands are certainly promising, although they will take years to develop. There are two major river systems that run through Naktan: the Anakstin River and the Propiyel River. The Propiyel River is larger and runs more extensively, but its shores are underdeveloped and relatively uninhabited. The primary source of income is through food and manufacturing the BOOK OF TAIARAI, the most holy book in the Faith of Naktan. There are currently three provinces with more in the books, as the country now opens to expansion. The ocean is perhaps the best resource for Naktan, bearing fish and fruits of all sorts. If industrialization is to occur, then off-shore oil deposits could be considered, although geologists agree that the shores wouldn't contain many - if any - oil reserves.

GOVERNMENT

The Holy Empire of Naktan is a democratically-based republican thoecracy with a leader at the head of the government. His authority theoretically supercedes all other functions, but for simplicity, the Holy Eminence simply stands as a state figure, unifying the people into one people. Additionally, the Imperial Charter serves as another binding contract between the people and the state, which outlines the tasks and directions for managing the state. In general, Naktan citizens are proactive in their government and it works to their advantage when dealing with political crises. Furthermore, compulsive military service is a trademark of the Naktan people, as it builds discipline and unifies the citizens into one state of mind.

The Ministers serve as the direct function of the execute powers, under the supervision of the Holy Eminence. The Prime Minister is elected by Parliament, who then approves the PM's choice of ministers. In order to be a part of the ministries, one must be an elected Parliamentarian. There are nine ministries currently, and each serves 7-year terms. The Prime Minister serves 14-year terms.

The legistature is a unicameral parliament, with 81 seats. The first and most recent elections put the United Theologian Front at the majority, with 58 seats. Each term is set to seven years.

There are three administrative districts (provinces), with three governors appointed by the Holy Eminence.

UNITED THEOLOGIAN FRONT === Moderate Conservative Leader: Sodryestos Karmala [31]

The United Theologian Front (UTF) is the most popular front so far. Its policy is to enforce the One True Faith Doctrine of the late Daltanuvei Istrosin, and to promote the general welfare of the people of the Holy Empire of Naktan. This incluldes a very persistent program to improve education and enforce law and order. Additionally, the UTF is relatively xenophobic and opposes any entangling moments for the time.

After winning the majority in the first parliamentary elections, the UTF began to spearhead its program to promote these very ideals, although it also invited the opinions of the opposition parties.

DEMOCRATIC PEOPLE'S PARTY FOR VIRTUOUS GOVERNMENT === Moderate Liberal Leader: Hamazev Nitroshol [42]

The Democratic People's Party for Virtuous Government (DPVG) is seen as an old folks program, although it has a significant support from liberals around the entire country. In general, the DPVG wants to bolster programs that improve civil rights and encourage foreign learning. The DPVG also wants to bolster the economy and had proposed to the Holy Eminnence before the Holy Empire was founded to consider the propositions of friendly nations, in order to secure a good standing in the world.

ZEALOTS OF THE AGRAVYES ORDER === Conservative Leader: Deimos Arastinai [21] The Zealots (of the Agravyes Order) is a fundamental cult of young people, who want to restore the old ways of the Naktan. They intend to abolish this democratic system and simply institute martial and religious order by the words of the Holy Eminence. Of course, the moderates of the Zealots are welcome to transitioning between the democracy of now to the autocracy of later, but some are willing to commit to revolution to achieve their results. Nonetheless, it is important to note that the Zealots are extremely anti-alien folk, and oppose any kind of world economy, because it does not follow in principle with the Order.

RELIGION

The religion of the Naktan is of a relatively unheard-of cult called TAIARAIL, which follows the teachings from the Book of Taiarai. The Book of Taiarai is mostly the recitations of Daltanuvei Istrosin, the first holy man of the Naktan people. After his death, some Naktan scholars went into the underground to record the teachings as the modern religious philosophies went out into public. Three millennia later, the religion has resurfaced into the ideals of the Naktan people, who are relatively isolated from the world's major proceedings. The Naktan faith is a major constituent of Naktan society, and it is almost directly bound to the State's operations in the Empire. However, unlike most other religions, the Naktan Faith is widely practiced as a progressive movement to understand about life and its relationship to Tyir (God).

LANGUAGE

The Naktan people speak a unique dialect that is on the lines of Indo-European scales, although most people simply look at it as gibberish. It is deep and complex system of writing and speaking, although the language has corrupted through years of intermingling peoples and trade missions to the Naktan region. Most people can understand at least one other language.
