The Centrist Party, often called the NCP (for Nanakaland Centrist Party), is the largest by far of the four major political parties in Nanakaland. Michael Smith, Nanakaland's most popular president, was a member of the party most of the time of his reign and the NCP currently has a massive majority in the Senate. The NCP is currently the most centrist of the two major parties, choosing to take the middle road and thus getting the most popularity.

The NCP was organized by some people early in the First Age of Nanakaland attempt to get the "middle road" in politics. The collapsing Nanakaland Socialist Party of which the first president ran was declining in power and influence. After President Michael Smith tried both extreme liberalism and extreme conservatism and failed, he became a member of the NCP, which kept him in power until Smith decided he no longer wanted to run years later. Due to no term limits in Nanakaland, the NCP was able to have power over Nanakaland throughout most of Nanakaland's history through the famous President Michael Smith.
