Nanakan has three different meanings, each briefly explained below.

Nanakan (currency)

The Nanakaland Nanakan (NN) is the official currency of Nanakaland, currently at about 2.9 to a dollar. Once also used by the Nanakan sphere of influence, Nanakaland and the semi-autonomous Nanakan Labs are now currently the only that use this currency (which, with over 3 billion total, it's no small currency by any means). Nanakaland has been using the Nanakan since the First Age of Nanakaland.

Nanakan (language)

Nanakan is the ancient language of the Nanakan Empire (now Nanakaland). In the Silent Years between the ancient empire and the British takeover, Nanakan was gradually replaced by Latin. However, for thousands of years this dialect was used by humans and the elves ruling the Nanakan Empire. A small minority of citizens in Nanakaland still use Nanakan, however, this language is not an official language of Nanakaland and most modern people in the nation use English.

Nanakan (people)

The people of Nanakaland are Nanakan. Once, the term Nanakan spread to more people than just the residents of Nanakaland. However, after the First Age of Nanakaland, the entire people were brought under one nation.

Nanakan doesn't just refer to Nanakaland, though. It can also refer to the Nanakan people throughout history. The most popular use of Nanakan without refering to Nanakaland is the Nanakan Empire, an ancient empire ruled by elven kings.
