Naomi LaRus is a Morindiran politican and lawyer and the current Grand Vizier to Praetor Natolya M'Kai.
Early Life
LaRus was born in Valinskya, Mestya, to Corrine C. LaRus and Pierre LaRus. Her maternal grandmother, Esther C. LaRus, was an influential publishing magnate who founded Central Newspapers, Inc., overseer of over a dozen major newspapers such as the People's Press and The Forheda Star.
LaRus graduated from the M'Chaia Youth Secondary Program in 1973 with high honors. She then was enrolled at Framindol Academy at the astoundingly young age of 15, where she received her B.A. degree in political science in 1977, and where she was a member of the fraternity Upsilon Kappa Alpha.
LaRus' public service began in July 1978 when she became an investigator for the Immigration Division of the Ministry of the Interior. Later that year, she became an administrative assistant to the Underchancellor of the Interior. Upon receiving her law degree in 1981, LaRus worked as associate publisher of her family's newspaper, the Valinskya Notice, and practiced law with her husband in Valinskya.
Naomi married Darrim (Hedall) LaRus when she was 23 and has 4 children: Deborah LaRus (born 14 Feb. 1983), Jakob LaRus (born 02 July 1985), Katya LaRus (born 17 Nov. 1988) and Olga LaRus (born 01 Dec. 1989).
Political Career
In 1988 LaRus was appointed to the position of Chancellor of the Interior. During her time as Chancellor, LaRus became widely known for her work in the areas of defense, arms control, labor, and human resources. Her partnerships with the Armed Services Committee, the Budget Committee, and the Labor and Human Resources Committee, made her an effective leader, respected by colleagues on both sides of the issues.
In 1992 LaRus was promoted to the position of Grand Vizier. This is her current position.
