Nasicournia is a burgeoning region of diverse nations (currently hovering around 50) allied in friendship & trade. Get-togethers are a weekly ritual, and natives are infamous for their like of tacos. Nasicournia is noted for their strong regional security and is traditionally considered to be a co-founder region of the Alliance Defense Network, however, it is also a strong Roleplaying region and recruits for a wide variety of diverse nations. As a result of specific recruitment techniques and an active forum, Nasicournia has grown into a big family; very closeknit in friendship and alliance.

Democracy, Defending, Espionage, Historical Status, and Roleplaying

Nasicournia is one of the oldest remaining regions in NationStates, having been founded in early 2003 by Nasicournus. The natives voted Pope Hope in as Founder of Nasicournia and due to the increased activity in the region under her delegateship, the NS moderation staff granted this request in the fall of 2003. Due to their history as a founderless region, subject to attempted invasions themselves, Nasicournia has become reknowned as one of the most powerful regions in the game due to their status as an active defender region and key player in the realm of international politics.

NasiCorps UN military troops are stationed outside of the region at all times, and are known to repeatedly change UN nations to increase the element of surprise and maintain anonynmity. The Nasicournian Intelligence Agency is world-reknowned for extensive and successful covert ops, and has never had an agent caught in the field. The NIA currently employs around forty field agents on observation and covert operation missions. Diplomatic Corps are often deployed to other regions. Due to this unorthodox method of FA and UN military ops and combined with the immigration region, Nasicournia's population is much larger than thought at first glance. The region is the most active of all ADN member regions, with several residents elected to positions of leadership. The Nasicournia forum is also the most consistently active in NationStates, and visitors from all NS walks of life are always welcome.

Nasicournia has participated in every attempted feeder liberation in past history, including the Pacific from the NPO (now PRP). The region is currently considered the last true stronghold against the imperialism and oppression of the PRP given her stubborn stance against their deception throughout history, though international interest in tyranny has recently been reinvigorated with the PRP's involvement in the current occupation of the West Pacific. The PRP declared Nasicournia an "Enemy of the State" in December of 2005 in a solidification of a long rhetorical war of words. Nasicournia also participated in the liberation of the North Pacific twice, defended the West Pacific on three occasions, and regularly assists her allies from the Rejected Realms in defenses against frequent invasion attempts. When not involved in the defense of democracy in the feeder regions on behalf of the natives, NasiCorps is deployed on nightly defenses and/or liberations in founderless player created regions.
