The Holy Empire of Natio Germanica (latin: Sacrum Romanum Imperium Nationis Germanicae) is a thriving empire in the region of Empires of Earth.
History
It was founded in the year of 2007 by the coronation of his Highness Emperor Otto V. of Habsburg by Pope Benedict.
Government
The Holy Empire of Natio Germanica is a consultative monarchy which means that all the powers lies in the hands of his Highness but he listens to his Estates very closely.
Economy
The Empire is not a capitalist country but has a modern approach to feudalism instead. All land is owned by the Emperor but he feoffs it to his vasalls. There are no capital corporations, only personal corporations and the owner of these corporations has social, religious and cultural duties for his workers.
Culture
In the natio germanica, all eletronic music is banned with some few exceptions. This gave way for a new revival of classical music and opera but also for folk music which is practiced now by most parts of the populace again. The literature and arts now often works via a patron system although there is principal cultural freedom.
Religion
The Empire practices a positive concept of religious freedom which means that the Catholic faith is the state religion and all state ceremonies are implement in its liturgy. But members of other faiths and denominations are free to practise their own religion. They receive no subsidies, though.
Education
The whole education system is in the hands of the church which has introduced a differentiated coeducation which means that boys and girls are educated seperately but practice religion, cultural events and social care together. This was done keeping in mind the difference of sexes in their developement processes.
