NationStates (TM) is a game from the Sundance Gaming Company, a part of the ViZion World Corporation. Originally released as a computer game, it allows users to design their own virtual country according to their ideals: they can also connect to the internet to interact with other countries. Other versions of the game, such as "NationStates: Total War", "NationDates", and a board game version of the original, are in the works. The game has attracted controversy, however, for its similarities to Mary Backs' "StateNations" and the Aurilinian card game "Strip Nation States".
