Neues Berlin Compact

Formed in 2004 by Zerstampfungland, Sturmschutzen, Marsden III, Nationalia Patria and Vexia, the Neues Berlin Compact is an alliance of Eastern Europe formed on the classic metaphor of the fasces, a bundle of sticks wrapped around an axe that, together, could not be broken. This Alliance of Fascist, Imperialist, Nationalist and otherwise far-rightist states was initially seen as an abberation, an odious development to be tolerated by other Alliances, who were anyway eager for allies against the spectre of Communism. However, the NBC went from strength to strength, and its united Invasions of Dunstagg, Nikokostan, and to a lesser extent, Barcelon and presence in the EECN member-state Litija, are clear and worrying signs that the NBC is not a force to be taken lightly.

Charter of the NBC

Article 1. Members will cut all trade with all communist or communist leaning nations. Alliance members made trade with any non-communsit nation they wish to.

Article 2. Members will not allow communist visitors into their nations, nor will citizens of member nations be allowed to travel as visitors to communist nations.

Article 3. Member nations will share military technology, and assist one another in military build up. Wargames, joint-officer training, sharing of military intelligence will be expected.

Article 4. Television, radio, and written media in the form of anti-communsit propaganda will be spread by member nations. The targetting of moderate communists, to convince peaceful regime change, the targetting of major communists to inform their people of their own plight.

Article 5. Either UN positions are sought, or capitalist nations who are anti-communist are encouraged by all member nations to join the UN. The end goal is to end communist dominance on any UN position of our region. It is perferable a capitalist nation heads the UN in our region rather than a communist one.

Article 6. Member nations may wage war alone as they see fit. The alliance will onnly fight as one if a 2/3 vote is passed. This includes if a member state is invaded. The goal is to prevent the alliance becoming a tool for greedy nations to expand their own power with no thought about the allies. A strong ally will gain the 2/3 vote and the support of the alliance, a weak or greedy ally will not.

Article 7. Membership is voluntary, until the alliance decides to declare war. Should the alliance go to war no member may leave the alliance, nor negotiate with other nations without consent of the alliance. New members wil follow all of the articles, even if their nation is not explicitly named.

Article 8. Until amended the member nations need not house the troops of their fellow allies nor allow them into their borders.

The Neues Berlin Economic Treaty

1. Nations included in the treaty may sell goods within all Neues Berlin Compact nations.

2. Tariffs and other Protective laws will be based on a nation by nation basis, with nations offering tariff cuts if they see fit to those nations included in the treaty. Tariff removal or cuts are not mandatory for Neues Berlin Compact members.

3. Visitors from nations included in the treaty can come to Neues Berlin Compact nations, so long as all papers are in order and all laws followed. This may also be restricted on a nation by nation case.

4. Neues Berlin Compact companies can transport goods from nations included in the treaty.

5. Members of the treaty can transport Neues Berlin Compact goods.

6. Members of the treaty will allow Neues Berlin Compact members to trade within their country.

7. Members of the treaty need not lift their tariffs or Protective laws for Neues Berlin Compact members.

8. Certain goods will be restricted. Books. Visual Media. Audio Media. and radio/television services will not be allowed as a part of the treaty.

9. Military goods will be allowed based on a nation by nation basis.

10. No Communist nations can join in the economic treaty.

Membership

Over the years, as dictatorships have risen, fallen, and risen again, the NBC's membership has fluctuated, but its presence has remained uniformally strong around the Baltic and North Seas, constantly seeking to expand its influence east and south, through diplomacy, propaganda and brute military strength.
