The Gatesville Princesss of Nevadar is a massive, economically powerful nation, notable for its compulsory military service. Its compassionate, hard-working, cynical population of 6.59 billion are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."
It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, moralistic government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is mainly concerned with Law & Order, although Defence and Commerce are on the agenda. The average income tax rate is 100%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.
Rupert Bear is considered to be the most risqué TV program in Nevadar, artists are jailed regularly and art-burning parties are common, meat is a luxury afforded only to the wealthy, and motorists must pay to enter inner-cities during peak hours. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Nevadar's national animal is the lab rat, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the silver coin.
