The New Jerusalem Reform Party is the principal opposition party in the New Jerusalem Council of Ministers, in which it holds thirty-four seats, including more district ministers than any other party. It is a progressive party with an agenda for municipal development and services whose powerbase is the city of New Jerusalem itself.
Policy Platform
The New Jerusalem Reform Party is committed to:
- Government-owned and subsidised public transport
- Reintroducing, at a provincial level, the subsidy for Church schools removed in 2004 by the Drapeur Imperial Government
- Government ownership of essential infrastructure (e.g. roads, telecommunications, electricity, water) in the Exarchate of New Jerusalem
- Compulsory Aboriginal Pantocratorian language and heritage classes throughout primary school and early secondary school
- Ending government subsidy for agriculture in the Exarchate
- Affordable public housing
- Tort reform
- Changing the method of appointment of Church Ministers in the New Jerusalem Council of Ministers to a proportional representation ballot in which all Catholic parishioners in the Exarchate may participate
