New Latika is a language spoken in The Lightning Star, specifically in the areas controlled by the Technocratic Empire area. It was created by Emperor Hannibal IX as a language for the entire empire, as he saw that the fact that there were so many languages was wearing down the government. He decided to create a new language, known as New Latika (although it isn't very similar to it's ancient ancestor). New Latika grammar is exactly the same as English and the syntax (word order) has not changed, in order to make the language easier to learn.
