Xericurians
Originally a term that described any descendant of a person who traveled to present day Hades alongside Xerik, the first king of Hades, the term 'xericurian' has evolved to mean a specific descendant of Xerik, more specifically any male of his line. In more ancient times these men were simply referred to as 'sons of Xerik', but once a dynasty was established and a monarchy formed, the term 'xericurian' was adopted to refer to the kings and all their offspring.
In modern terms this would be referred to as a royal house. Quite simply, any person who is a 'xericurian' is claiming to be a member of the House of Xerik. Any male member of the House of Xerik who is directly related to a king through a male member of the House of Xerik may use the title 'Xericus' in their full name.
The proper method to pronounce 'xerik' is 'saheris' therefore the proper method to pronounce 'Xerikus' is 'saherisis' and the proper method to pronounce 'xericurian' is 'saherisian'.
The original roman gens of the royal family is 'Sericius', which comes from 'sericeus', meaning 'silken.' This was a patrician gens during the roman republic and empire, but was removed from all roman history texts upon order of Emperor Hadrian.
