NCAL | Nitrogen Cooled Auto Laser

All laser weapons are semiautomatic, because the heat generated by a fullauto laser would melt the gun in seconds. What ProtoWeapons did was use a very durable crystal to withstand fullauto, and also a pressurized frozen nitrogen cooling system to prevent the gun from literally melting the gun. Since it is under pressure, the nirogent can't solidify, so it remains a liquid. While pure fullauto still can't be achieved, the protoype NCAL will shoot laser bursts at low rates of fire, and will be a foundation of lasers to come.

The NCAL comes with open sights, an accsessory rail on the top of the gun, and a trigger switch which allows for semiauto, 3 shot burst, fullauto, and safety. Users should note that when the gun is in safety mode the cooling system shuts off to save power and will take up to 2 seconds to start up again. The crystal and nitrogen should be changed every 8 months as partof general maintence with regular use.

The powerpack contains enough power for approximately 3000 shots, as well as 1 year of running the cooling system. It can be ejected from the back of the gun.
