The Norrington Settlers were a group of 1,000 Kiravian settlers that traveled throughout Western Kirav.

Beginnings

The Norrington Settlement Expedition was founded in the city of Kelton. 2 nearby villages had collapsed from crop failure. The refugees relocated to Kelton, but the small town could not sustain them. One bankrupt Kelton agrichemist and carographer, named Corveyrac Jeneir, rounded up these impoverished villagers and brought them to Norrington. He planned on building a new life in the sparsely explored Western regions of Kirav. But knowing he could not reach a viable destination, both due to his financial status and singularity, he needed to gather more followers. As his original followers waited in the city, he traveled the nation looking for failed and failing settlements like Nomoranth and Dounac. He sent them to Norrington also, and built up a force of 1,000. Jeneir then took small groups, numbering about 10 to 15, at a time out of the city to train them in navigation, botany, hunting, logistics, Native Kiravian culture and language, survival, and combat. As well as other skills they would need in the West. In less than 2 months, Jeneir had an army of well-trained pioneers. They set out from Norrington marching West until they reached Lake Togistarà. There, 20 settlers, mostly injured or sick, removed themselvs from the group and built the village of Togistarà.

First Winter

4 months into their expedition, the Norrinngton Settlers were caught in a 2-week long blizzard. WIth no shelter on the Grasslands, or any means to build sufficient temporay housing, the 980 Kiravians that past Togistará moved into crude subterranean tunnels, built using plans meant for a triinum mine. 2 settlers died during construction.

Spring

By the following spring, the Norrington Party, reached the farthest Kiravian outpost West; Desoräm. They pushed onward under strong leadership to the lake of Elsaret. While resting there 37 settlers, under the leadership of Hol Valmornen broke off from the group, vowing to go no further, as they thought Jeneir was leading them to death in the Green Mountains. They broke off and founded the town of Elsaret.

Rebellion

Magnetic storms interfered with navigation, and the Party was waylaid into the Cold Steppes. A rebellion took place, in which 88 settlers demanded control of the group. They were called the Ăurites. The Kilêhvites(As the new city that the party planned to estabilished was named), men loyal to Jeneir, ousted them from the camp with meager supplies. The Ăurites formed a smaller camp 1 mile away, but still lacked food and materials. They took up arms and attacked the Kilêhvites, but Jeneir and his soldiers defended their camp succesfully. The defeated Ăurites remained in their camp and formed the village of Ăurco. While Jeneir took his followers westward, and reached First Mountain.
