History
North Syrupiat was born of a desire for justice and equality. Founded by former soldiers from the Democratic Capitalist Worker's Paradise of Syrupiat, North Syrupiat was to be a utopian society committed to public works and charity.
Soon after the revolution in Syrupiat, a crisis broke out in the communist nation of Andei. A captialist revolution had begun to spread, and Syrupiat wasted no time to send aid. In a few short days, its massive armies had freed the rebels from Kasr Partan, thier blockaded redoubt, and was marching on the capital city of Cadrian. In a stunning turn of events, however, the Syrupiat army was trapped in the foothills just outside the city. Undersupplied and on the brink of starvation, the troops were rescued at the last moment by members of the Andei Liberation Army (ALA).
Infuriated and disgraced by the near-defeat, the politicians in Syrupiat City called for the head of the strike forces' leader, Major General Forrest Tierney, and began preparations for the execution of the whole 300,000 member force. Tierney and his troops, therefore, requested, and received asylum in Andei. With that, the Eight Day War was over. In the aftermath, Tierney accepted a Cabinet position in the newly formed capitalist Andesian government.
Soon afterwards, with land given them by the Andesian government, the exiles from Syrupiat formed the Free Land of North Syrupiat. This nation was founded on opposite principles from those of thier motherland: justice, equality and freedom. The two nations, Syrupiat and North Syrupiat have remained bitter enemies to this day.
North Syrupiat is known for its tireless efforts to spread socialism to its neighbors. God Bless the USA on its northern boarder continues to repel insurgents and protesters from North Syrupiat. Recent events have caused GBUSA to build a eight-foot brick wall topped with barbed wire across the entire border, to prevent incursions from North Syrupiat. The guard towers atop the wall have reported firing on suspected illegal immigrants into GBUSA.
North Syrupiat insists that the wall is illegal, and an impediment to normal relations. Several petitions to remove the wall have been ignored.
