Nova City (Russian: Город Novд) is the provincial capital and largest city of the North Very Small Island Province of Taerm. Founded in 1897, it is the NDTVSI's second largest city, with a metropolitan population of 900,000. The city is the economical and maritime capital of the country, and is also home port to the Willinkian Naval Force.

History
Nova City was first founded by Spanish explorers in 1897 as a alternative settlement to Island City, suited in a better location on a large natural water port. The city was named Santa Cruz by then Spanish Governor Francis Raf, who named the city after a favorite vacation place of Isabella II of Spain. The land prior to the Spanish was first inhabited by nomadic tribes, who were driven away after the conquest of the Island. The city was a popular resort destination to the rich and famous of Spain, with it's bright, wide streets and open air markets and coffee shops. Because of its prime location on a deep water port, and its close ties with other Spanish interests in the area, it quickly became a major port, and a center of shipbuilding.
With a population of 76,000 in 1925, it was granted the title of city. Following the independence movement in the early 1950's, the city was renamed Nova City, and became the capital of the Taerm province. During the summer wars, it received virtually no damage, although it was shelled by Parthian forces on two occasions.
