Chapter III. Of the Lives and deeds of The First High Priests

Of the Lives and deeds of The First High Priests is the third text within The Book of the High Priests.

And the first King Divine named the First High Priest of the Faith of Desh. And this mans name was Akorra and his seat was Aukene.And the life of the man was as the life of any man,for in those days the High-Priest was a servant of his King.And so,one day,Ashora had Akorra undone and named his brother,the mad-man of his armies,Akula as the new Priest Most High.And all the days of his reign were three thousand ,for thereafter there came a plague into Desh and the King inquired ,yet was answered not and Akula inquired and was answered not, until Ashoras life had ended by the lake *.And Tehretehrere, who was of Ashoras fathers sibling,was made as him (Ashora) and he inquired further on,yet even he was deaf in the heavenly things. When even Akulla sucumbed,Tehretehrere thought and then declared this post to come from lot.And they cast the lot and a man of poor design was made the Priest.At first the plague lessened,yet then ,when this vulgar man,named by his kin as Ukab,founded his own city in the desert, witch he named as Ukab and this city flourished far beyond Desh, then Tehretehrere lost his will and gathered his brothers and clad in armour went forward and smothe the city and all within,the death of his own kin numbering six hundred and fifty.And Tehretehrere wished redemption,yet could find none and so died by the lake.They then chose his son,Umahas,for he seemed a true believing king and was given some of the powers that were taken by the Highest Priest,who servived the death of his city.Yet he once traveled alone in the desert and soon became a devotee of a god,who is the mortal enemy of Aanae.He soon began to force this faith upon his people,till he too, like his father remained at the lake after ten years reign ,folowing the first,whose reign was long five times more,without four years. When Ukab was given to decide of the King,he chose a man,who was called Ikarba and was not of Ashoras nearest blood,yet when he presented him as the nations king,so did thunder came from heaven and a dark cloud took the false king and carried him into immeasurable height and let him fall.And Ukab himself was given the revelation of his choices and so went and stayed at the lake.And there opened the gate of the lowest heaven,in witch the firstborn reigned and steped down and declared Ashoras grandson, Tutrahere and declared his patronage.And then the plague did ceasen and the King solely was given knowledge of its reason.During the next years,in witch the King did reign,three High priests were named-once in Aukene,whose name was Mons,the second in Missada,whose name was Ubakba and the last in Kuhee, whose name was Tulem.The first two were of great and mighty faith and bowed to the King,acording to teh firstborns commands,but Tulem was a character,who was chosen not by lot,but by money and so was not a Priest.He gathered disciples and began to plot and when Ubakba ceased to be and a new lot was to be drawn,he bribed the drawers once again and the one,who was chosen,was Tulems uncles son, Chikauba.He was a man of great wwords and so was key within Tulems plot.

And so a great heresy was done against Desh and the King was killed and the reigns were given to the Temples.It was then that Anug-Ya ceased to guard the land and that Aanae ceased to favour Desh.

And the Three were four in number-the first being Tulem,Chikauba,who made Tulem his servant,and Mons,whose soul was corupted by the vison of power.The second three was Chuppa,Chikaubas son, Senhuppa,Tulems son and Kukkke,Monss son .The third three,under witch a peoples High Priest, selected by the lowest heaven itself,was found in Ko,was made of Sensenhuppa,Senhuppas son ,Chihupu,Chuppas son and Bumahubappa ,Kukkkes son.Under their tyrany Ko recieved the emanations of the other gods,whom Aanae brought with him and who made his court.These were:

Jasimarrata,who is of Chaos and Idiocy

Hanama-addok,who is of Deserts and Famine

Sunnara,who is of Youth and Life

Imanalay,who is of War and fiendhood

Noodok,who is of Peace and friendship

and at last of Baathok,who is the Deffiler .

Of the House of Oya:

Engannakuta,who is of Fate and Wisdom

Junga-ai,who is of Forests and Harvest

Aissutta,who is of Age and Death

Siothys,who is of Hollines- and who is the caretaker and guard of the Heavenly King's thrones and royal insignias,master of the Royal Seal,protector of the sacred Inoranama,who is of all the hours (Time)

And also he learnt of the Yaseta Aerokanae,who was of Un-Time,yet who was dead since the begining of Ages

-* "life ended by the lake"-meaning a ritual suicide,performed by the King to please the gods and avert disasters.
