Admiral Olaf Jakobsson (b. September 17, 1964) is the current President of Nimzonia

Early life and Career

Olaf Jakobsson was born in the maritime city of Port Odea, and joined the navy at the age of 19. His first assignment was as midshipman aboard the frigate RNS Great Beard. After serving on various frigates and destroyers, he worked his way up to the rank of Captain. His career took off at the start of the 2004 whaling season, when he was given a commission as Commodore in charge of a fleet patrolling the whaling territories. Although a ship under his command, RNS Tempest, was lost in an accident while working with Indian Casino Operator ships, he was later promoted to Rear-Admiral, and given command of the ASW fleet monitoring Mikian submarine activity in the arctic.

Civil War and Presidency

When the Nimzonian Civil War began in november 2004, Jakobsson took the side of the rebels, and was forced to flee to Wodenreijk after attempts by the new regime to capture his fleet. He played a large role in the war, but was unable to prevent Helstag devastating the country with nuclear weapons. After the war, with senior officers such as Otto Jaarinen and Bjornolf Folkvadr missing, he took command of the refugee fleet leaving Nimzonia, and spent some time conducting pirate operations in the atlantic.
In December 2006, he brought his fleet to LETIreijk and evicted the Platanese drug barons running the colony. He assumed the title of Acting President and formed a new government, which is currently attempting to negotiate the purchase of additional territory to form a new Nimzonian homeland.
