Oliverrian Hockey Association was founded in 2000 when the Oliverrian Hockey League thought that it was time for the nation to get represented to the international level. It's the organisation that rules every hockey events, leagues, etc. in Oliverry.

History

Begins of hockey

Oliverrian hockey dates back to the 19th century. At that time, it got very popular, mainly in Marshalliston and in Oliver City, the 2 capital cities. That's even hockey that ruled the problem of the capital here as Marshalliston won against Oliver city to become the capital. But, we had to wait until 2000 before any Hockey Association see the daylight. Well, there was maybe the Oliverrian Amateur Hockey Association but it folded before even see the daylight.

Labaie-Gibouere phase

In 1998, George Labaie, president of the Oliverrian Hockey League at the time, thought about regularizing hockey in the nation. He then contacted every leagues, minor hockey associations and tournament organizers to implement a hockey association. But, 80% of them declined the offer since they thought that they would be disavantaged about this. But, a year later, 80% of them were ok about that idea. So, on July 17th, 1999, the Oliverrian Hockey Association births with George Labaie as the president. Some times later, Labaie listens about the Cherry cup. He sees that it can be a good idea for the nation to make Oliverrian hockey known to everyone all around the world. So, he proposes this to the congress and nearly everyone accepts. So, on December 31st 1999, Oliverry subscribes to his first Cherry Cup: Cherry Cup VII. The goal was to gain the maximum experience in one year so that in the next Cherry cup, they would nearly win. So, Labaie hires the best trainer in Oliverry, Jean-Claude Gibouere. Gibouere made a good job, Oliverry finishing 8th at their first cup.

Gibouere-Blue phase, part 1

In 2001, Oliverry subscribes to their second Cherry Cup. Gibouere, who was asked to run the team, refuses. When Labaie hears that, he resigns from his job. But Jean-Claude Gibouere was, again, the first person at who the association asked to take the job. He hesitated a bit but he accepted. His first move was to hire Johnathan Blue to coach Oliverrian national team in Iansisle. The cup started very bad but they finished 7th anyway.

Gibouere-Blue phase, part 2

In 2002, Oliverry signs-up to his 3rd Cherry Cup with the same team. The association puts a bid to host it and they win it. Olivery won in its own yard. But, this created some frictions as some people thought that Oliverrian refrees cheated or something. The association even accepted to refuse the cup or to redo the match. Well, nothing happened and Oliverry is the only one who won a cup in its own territory.

Gibouere-Blue phase, final part

In the following years, Oliverry declined. The biggest surprise in this wa the death of the famous Oliverrian forward: Francois Laroche. He was pretty good but I think everyone remembers his famous quote in Cherry cup X about the Dwarves: "Dwarves sucks. They don't know how to skate correctly on a fast rink. I know, I have one as a domestical animal". Well, we all know that Starblaydian were insulted and we understand it. Well, he died in the next year from a cancer on December 31st, 2004. Cherry Cup XI was Johnathan Blue's last cup. As the team went 14th, the Association decided to fire him.

Dubé-Larache phase

For the next Cherry cup, Gibouere decided to retire so that he can see the team more often. His last decision was to fire Johnathan Blue. The Association then decided to take vice-president into the president's job. It was Frank Dubé. He decided to offer a contract as a head-coach to Jean-Francois Larache, the goalies coach. The results were very good: Group champions and eliminated in quarter finals, which made a final ranking of 6th.

Cherry Cup XIII

It first atarted controversly as Hockey Canada won the hosting rights for it. Oliverry and Liverpool England were not so happy with the decision and decided to provoke it by distributing a petition to every nation implied in Cherry Cup. But, only Fmjphoenix signed it. The main problem was that the transports weren't ok. 2 days later, the problem was ruled and everything went underway. Oliverry has been eliminated in the Round of 16.

Structure

The president is the commissionner of the OHL. He is seconded by a vice-president, a secretary and the chamber of congress, which is divided in 3 parts:

- Elite and pro leagues

- Amateur leagues

- Minor level
