Olympia
Olympia is a large, autonomous colony in Haven that is part of the Freethinker Commonwealth. It is the smallest of the constituent provinces of the country in terms of land area, but has the highest population density of the Commonwealth and is also the major agricultural region and 'bread basket' for the nation as a whole.
History
Olympia is the latest Earth-based holding of the Freethinker Commonwealth, and was established as one of the last political legacies of the Barham government in the wake of the failure of the Freethinker Martian Territories as an economically viable entity.
Olympia was established on 5th November 2007 (real time) by a fleet of Freethinker warships and civilian transports who landed soldiers, survey teams and engineers in the area formerly occupied by the nation of Camewot.

Climate & Terrain: Olympia enjoys a subtropical southern Haven climate, with generally warm, mild weather all year round. The land is generally rolling plains with several large woodlands and mountain ranges towards the interior. Decent soil, excellent irrigation and excellent river and ocean access are exploitable for large scale agricultural schemes.
Enviromental Hazards: Tropical storms, avalanches in mountain areas.
Enviromental Issues: Minor concern for pollution from neighbouring territories and new colonisation growth.
