Operation GREIFF was an operation of the nation Germanistan against Texana. During the war with Texana, Germanistan began to loose control over Helgebaldia. Operation GREIFF was aimed at reconquering important resource points to the west of the continent, east of the Theide. It was a joint operation consisting of air strikes on enemy positions, followed by paratrooper assaults and finally, massive tank and infantry deployment, supported by artillery and air power. It was a full success and despite its cost, pushed the Texanians back, except for a small resource gathering outpost established to the north, which was delt with during Operation NESTOR.

  • Missile bombardment of the bridges spanning the river Theide was initiated shortly before the operation was launched. This denied the Texanians from moving troops from the west of the river to the east to reinforce the troops that would be targeted by GREIFF.
  • In the next step, the two remaining Germanistanian bombers available to the operation bombed the area of the resource points and supply bases, which eliminated fighting vehicles parked in the immedeate vicinity of the site, but missed most of the personell.
  • Then, paratroopers were dropped in the area. They engaged in heavy fighting with remaining forces in the area and the little that was left of the Texanian reinforcements that tried to move over the Theide bridges when the missile bombardment started. The paratroops sucessfuly captured the resource points before step three took place.
  • Germanistan's army by then started to move aircraft stationed near the village of Südeheim and airships, tanks and infantry from the Venger Pass. Artillery remained stationed at the pass to offer long-range support, as it had already done during phase 2 of the operation. By that time, the missile strikes had succesfuly disabled the last remaining bridge over the Theide, deadlocking the remaining Texanian forces, who were totaly surprised by the attack, between the river and the assaulting forces. Soon, all remains of Texanian military presence had been removed from the eastside of the Theide, except for small outpost to the north, and Eisen immedeately initiated Operation NESTOR to deal with the remains aswell as the supply bases west of the river.
