The Christian Democratic Party of Espara is the second largest party on the Island. Although it would be considered centrist by international standards, it is considered by most Esparans to cater to the more conservative tendencies of the nation. The PCD is generally considered to be the political wing of the Island's Catholic Church. As such, it campaigns largely on moral issues such as Abortion, Crime, and Youth Issues.

The Economic policy of the PDC advocates a continuation of the co-operative driven economy on the island (opposition to which would see a huge drop in party support), but the party campaigns for a free market in international trade and commerce, including off-island businesses and corporations. Current government policy only allows trade activity with governments, aid agencies and certain leftist NGOs.

The PCD currently forms an opposition coalition with the right-wing 'AN', although many in the party are uneasy with the ideals held and the policies proposed by the more radical conservatives present within the 'AN'. It is believed, however, that the party will continue the alliance in order to lessen the impact of the NPP/PSD majority in August House.
