The Party for Democratic Harmony was a short-lived political party in the Ariddian Isles. It existed only in the PDSRA.

History & key ideas

The PDH was created in 2139, shortly before that year's national elections. It was single-issue party. It argued that the Ariddian Council of Secretaries (Cabinet) should reflect the diversity of political parties in Ariddia, instead of being composed solely of members of the winning party.

After the election, won by the Democratic Communist Party, a new Cabinet included members of the two most important minority parties, and pledged to govern by cross-party consensus. Having achieved its goal, the Party for Democratic Harmony opted to disband in 2140.

The party still has two members of Parliament, who are now labelled Independents. They have promised to serve as "neutral, impartial promoters of consensus and dialogue".
