Introduction
While retaining its ancient and time-honoured culture, Patoxia rapidly absorbed Western technology during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. After a problematic period of communist rule leading to a period of anarchy and crime, Patoxia has mostly recovered to become an economic power and a leading nation in the USSR. Following the fall of communist regime, the nation reverted to a near feudal state with and was in serious danger of complete collapse which was averted by the restoration of the Toya (emperor) to throne restoring a measure of national unity and stopping the descent into lawlessness.
it is rumoured that a number of Patoxian officials are actually Kumiho and the nation is secretly controlled by them and an ancient Kumiho council chamber exists under the Patoxian Imperial Palace for their use. This however is considered to be an insane conspiracy theory in most circles.
