Considered by some reviewers to be a symbol of Allanean freedom, to others, the Patrick Henry is 'merely a symbol of the depravity of the Kazansky Regime, ready to send their children to fight their battles'. Whatever the truth, the Patrick Henry is a child of the Fourth Edolian War. When, in the Battle of Heston City, the nascent Allanean Boy Scout Corps took over a local firearms factory that was manufacturing copies of the ancient Thompson submachinegun for collectors, many of them took up Thompsons to use against the enemy forces.

After the end of the war, the 'Tommy-gun' became a virtual symbol of the Allanean Boy Scout Corps. In fact, when the Boy Scout Monument was erected in the Port-Allanea harbour, it was made holding a Thompson. So when the Department of Education chose a submachinegun for the BSC, the choice of a .50AE variant of a Thompson would be only a logical one. Thus was born the Patrick Henry.

The Blue Book of Gun Values rates the Patrick Henry at 500 ALD.
