Patryns

Origins

Patryns are a humanoid race that developed a form of magic that gave them the power of demi-gods. Early in the history of the nation Patrynia, they started breeding with a few of their former enemy, the Sartan, a race with a similar rune-based language and magic. As a result of this mixing of the races, the rune-languages (which turned out to be quite effective complements of each other) also mixed, resulting in a stronger and even more flexible form of magic. No longer demi-gods, the Patryns possessed the power of Gods.
