Dr. Paul D. LeDuc has been President of Minnesotan Federation since January 26, 2006, the day he declared the State of Minnesota's independence and announced its transition to a federal republic. He is founder and chairman of the right-of-center Minnesotan Front party.

Early life

LeDuc was born in Spring Lake Park, Minnesota, to John and Agnes LeDuc, both devout Lutherans. John, a moderately successful businessman, was a highly decorated veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Agnes was an Army nurse who met her husband in Normandy, shortly after World War II concluded. They were married in 1950, shortly before John's deployment to Korea. As they both came from very poor families, they wanted to wait until they were financially secure before having children. After three miscarriages, Agnes successfully gave birth to Paul Douglas LeDuc on November 11, 1964. It was a difficult pregnancy, one which nearly killed her and left her infertile. Hence, Paul was their only child. Because of that, they were rather overprotective when they raised him, and tended to "spoil him rotten." Paul's birth coincided with the successful launching of John's business; by the time Paul was five, his family had reached the upper middle-class of the socioeconomic ladder. As such, Paul attended the most prestigious private schools, starting at the age of five.

Childhood

Even in his childhood, Paul LeDuc showed signs of strong leadership. When he was only five, he bravely defended a younger boy against two seven year old bullies; Paul emerged from the fray with a broken nose, a missing tooth, and huge popularity among his peers. He was well liked for his generosity. He often played with lonely, unwanted kids, or shared his lunch if another kid forgot to bring their own. He showed an early interest in sports, and was on the football, basketball, soccer, and hockey teams of his elementary school, middle school, and high school. From kindergarten through college, he always scored straight As, graduated at the top of his class, and excelled greatly at sports and extracurricular, becoming captain of the football, basketball, soccer, hockey, and debate teams in school, and starring in three school plays. He also learned to play the violin, the piano, the clarinet, the flute, and the trombone. He was so intelligent, he was allowed to skip grades two, six, and seven. He was valedictorian of his class in high school. Stunningly handsome, he was also quite the ladies' man; he dated dozens of the most beautiful girls in high school, including the prom queen, Sara Letterman (three years his senior), who he married on June 19, 1980, just after their graduation.
