Collapse of the Pellinese Empire - 1204 AD

With the crowning of Shah Muhamed, many of the Pellinese Emirates revolted. First came the Great Tax Revolt in November 1204 and then in 1205 the Emirate of Samah Island declared it's self independant of the Pellinese Empire. Shah Muhamed called for an army to be raised and asked all the Emirates to send 10,000 men each to the cause. The only Emirates to answer the Shah's call to arms was the Emirate of Shadiaq, the Emirate of Maleeqa and the Emirate of Moodiqa. With the lack of support, Shah Muhamed called for all the Emir's who failed to provide soldiers to be arrested and executed. This sparked the War of the Pellina Island Succession.

The war lasted three months, only ending when Shah Muhamed and his family were killed by Emir Jamal Al Baqara of the Emirate of Salehstan.

On March the 18th 1206, the 19 Emir's of the former Pellinese Empire met at Intisar (Emirate of Makaoui) and the Treaty of Intisar was signed by all 19 Emir's granting independence to the Emirates.
