Peoples Revolutionary Party

The Peoples Revolutionary Party (PRP) stood for the expansion of Socialism throughout NationStates. To gain membership in the PRP, the placement of a nation under the control of the prospective member must be in the PRP at all times. The PRP was not a regional body, but rather a party. The party was dedicated to uniting the left by bringing members from many various regions together in our PRP's headquarters, the region known as the Peoples Revolutionary Party.

The region was a collection of Marxists and a few Anarchists, but is currently disbanded.

The PRP believes that the revolution of the Proletariat is inevitable, while at the same time, the PRP denounces the oppressive Stalinist regimes of the of the 20th century. Together with our allies we are trying to establish global Socialism within our lifetimes. We are an RKKA member.

History

The PRP was founded by Comrade Shane. He and Comrade Martin have been the driving force of the PRP along with other core members. At its former height, the PRP had almost 50 members in its home region, 20 in Warsaw Pact, at least a dozen protectorate regions, and multiple alliances. The PRP had a population explosion, surpassing the 70 mark in the PRP home region while the formerly populous Warsaw Pact has declined. Recently, membership stands in the lower 70's, climbing out of the August membership slump of 65. A peak was reached entering September around 80, settling back down to the average of 70.

During the lowest point of the PRP, a government overhaul was initiated which formed the fully electable positions of Chairman, General Secretary, U.N. Representative, and numerous Commissariats and Ministries. This system is quite individual of the PRP and has yet to become popular elseware.

It has taken part in many conflicts. The most notable are the takeover of 1969 Anti Communist Alliance (led by the famed Trotskyist martyr Rodesh), the deposing of America the American as delegate of the 1989 Anti Communist Alliance, secretly having a delegate in the 1989 ACA, the installation of a delegate in The Exclusive Capitalizt Zone for several days, the removal of a Stalinist delegate in the Soviet Union, thwarting two attempted coups in the Soviet Union, and assiting the natives of the SU to recapture the Soviet Union from a Nazi organization.

Lesser achievements include the seizure of Operation Reagan Revolution, an Anti-PRP region, the destruction of Communist Alliance, another Stalinistic region, through inciting revolt, and the installation of a PRP-friendly delegate in Icewind Dale, who eventually retired from his post. The capturing of the Fascist States of New America and the liberating of the region Christians follow in the list and were completed in cooperation with the MT Army.

The PRP was offically disbanded in mid 2005 and became one of the largest regions to merge into the region Nationstates Communist Party.
