PetroEnerGen is the Arch-Imperium's state owned Oil Company. Over the course of its existance, it was responsible for the mass production and refinement of Petroleum Products. Through more of its modern history, PetroEnerGen has overseen a massive boom in petroleum consuption in the industrial, business, military and residential sectors, shooting up prices and revenue for the Imperial Stratagem. As a State Owned Enterprise, PetroEnerGen itself has been able to be heavily subsidized by the government, and in addition to fantastically high revenue and profits, is a core industrial power force within the Arch-Imperium itself.
Where there is oil, there is always a market. PetroEnerGen is one of the best funded portion of Dynastic International in comparison to its size. Rich underwater and underground petroleum reserves throughout the Arch-Imperium are holding potential for PetroEnerGen to become a formidable player in the region's oil economy. In addition, PetroEnerGen heavily relies on more cleaner methods of energy production such as solar production, wind turbine farms and natural gas.
PetroEnerGen has recently attempted experimentation with Cold Fusion but those have yet to bear actual product to be usable for the market. PetroEnerGen acquired vast holdings on a near monopoly level on the production of Hydrogen Fuel Cells and Natural Gas hybrid automobile and aircraft technology. PetroEnerGen since has pattented this technology within the Arch-Imperium. This monopoly has guarenteed PetroEnergy's dominance in the massive population market of the Arch-Imperium itself.
PetroEnerGen is always interested in more offshore drilling but in addition it is also a construction company for masses of wind turbines for high altitude and offshore generation. Most of these turbines exist on massive artificial islands, designed to take advantage of constant winds that exist in open waters. The largest assembly of offshore wind turbines is currently directly off from Xi'an itself.
In addition to Wind and Petroleum, Natural Gas and Coal power plants, PetroEnerGen also focuses on solar energy which is widely used on the Dynastic-Class Worldships and other large buildings to improve efficiency for their energy supplies. Solar is one of the less common scenes as it is space accumulative and relatively expensive.
EnerGenWind
While PetroEnerGen and its parent company, Dynastic International were interested in renewable sources of energy that had limitless potential. However before the finalization of Cold Fusion could be possible, Wind Power, Solar Power and Hydro Power seemed the only likely sources that could be exploited.
Wind Power was the first division created, named EnerGenWind. EnerGenWind was the first but also the relatively quiet side of the renewable energy sources. It has provided PetroEnerGen with contracts in the region as well as encouraging enviornmentally friendly energy policies.
EnerGenHydro
EnerGenHydro became the second renewable power company in the Arch-Imperium. It was focused strictly on HydroElectric Power and was greatly successful particularly in the building of the Five Peaks Dam. The Dam was controversial from the start since it was going to be built on top of a wildlife reserve but it was the only available location. The Five Peaks Reservoir behind it is one of the world's largest man-made lakes that stores the water for the dam. As a result of numerous enviornmental lobbiest groups, the wildlife preserve was saved as wated was directed to a secondary reservoir. The Five Peaks Wildlife Preserve was saved and the dam constructed.
EnerGenHydro oversees the power generation of 22 seperate hydroelectric dams each that has to be constantly maintained but generates a substantial amount of energy, more than 60% of the energy used in the Arch-Imperium. EnerGenHydro has remained exclusively within Arch-Imperium contracts but as of July 1st 2005, The Imperial Stratagem released EnerGenHydro from its restricted domestic policies allowing it to open up to the international market.
EnerGenSolar
Solar Energy is utilized where wind and hydro power is often far from usable. Solar Plants are scattered all over the more deserted regions of the Arch-Imperium. Solar Energy Plants are used for smaller settlements in the outlying regions of the Arch-Imperium and where energy requirements are more restrictive and space meant to be used efficiently.
Solar Plants are used to manage the outer regions where mining and digging oil fields are meant to be self suffient without relying on external power needs. Thus Solar Plants are widely used on platforms such as the Atlantic-Class Floating cities where they are cleverly disquised with glass paneling and steel structures.
EnerGen Natural Gas
EnerGen Natural Gas oversees harvesting of natural gas reserves abundant in the Arch-Imperium. Natural Gas is seen as one of the more beneficial forms of energy due to the fact that it pollutes less than petroleum however is still a pollutant. However compressed natural gas and filtration technology made it less polluting than other forms of fossil fuels.
Natural Gas Compression and sales have skyrocket due to the use aboard Dynastic-Class and Xheng-Class Worldships and the cruise lines. Ever since then Energen Natural Gas has been extremely profitable.
