His Majesty King Philipp I (Philipp Adam Alexander Eugen), (June 18, 1655 - July 9, 1734) (1674 - 1734 DE) was the oldest child of King Eduard IV of Alessandri and Countess Nadezja von Adroit.

Childhood

Prince Philipp of Alessandri was born in the Crimson Bedroom at the Neues Palais in Jetternacht. He was the product of the king's relationship with his mistress, Countess Nadejza von Androit, one of his wife's ladies-in-waiting. At his birth, instead of keeping an illegitamate child, Eduard convinced Frances to say his new son was her own child. The boy was christened on June 26 in St. Rudolf's Cathedral with the names Philipp Adam Alexander Eugen. He was named Philipp after his mother's father, Alexander after his mother's paternal grandfather, and Eugen after her maternal grandfather. The name Adam was added because Philipp was born on the name day of St. Adam of Battenburg. Two years later, Philipp was joined by a younger sister, Princess Cecile, who was also passed off as the queen's child. The other royal children were their half-siblings. As the second youngest of Eduard IV's six surviving sons, and it seemed highly unlikely that he would ever become king.
