Phobos

This article only covers Phobos as it pertains to the Martian moon in the role-play side of NationStates. The information presented below concerns it's history in the Mars frame of reference. There is a Phobos region with a single nation in it that the author knows nothing about so that will not be covered here. Timeline

Roania claims Phobos and sets up resource extraction operations on it as well as a military facility called Pinnacle Base. This facility was in place during the NGEN/Tor Yvresse war referenced in the Mars timeline if memory serves.

The moon is sold to Mallberta by Roania for an undisclosed amount.

Noting a distinct lack of activity on the Moon or in the parent nation Sunset lands on the moon and begins investigating. Despite the questionable legality of the situation Sunset then claims stewardship of the planetoid, removes the 'dangerous' Mallbertan technology, and leases the surface out to nations and corporations for use as mooring facilities and similar.
