Origins

When Sir Edward Ross passed away, the King Sir Monty Python (Eternal Leader of the Funny and Ambassador of Comedy) decided to host a film festival called the Piemon International Film Festival in his honour. This shall run the 6th January to the 12th January.

Main information from thread

The upcoming "Piemon International Film Festival"will be held in memory of the late Sir Edward Ross who was one of the pioneers of The Great Monty Python Film Industry, with his first film, "Tea Maker" (1 BP - (Before Python)) being "one of the most accurate descriptions of the backstabbing, deceiving world of cinema". There will be Classic Films, Current Films and Experimental Films shown. These shall all be judged in the prestigious Film Awards for Making Excellence (FAME awards). We will need the entries soon, so prepare to show off your films in style in the coastal town of Piemon in the almost complete, open-air Piemon Arena. We will accept all films from almost any nation, no matter how old they are.
