Plunis is a small island protectorate off the coast of Wendellia, currently ruled over by Crisconium. The government in Crisconium tends to ignore the island, and as a result, the government is now controlled by a leading underground mafia group.
Plunis' economy is quite small, as the majority of the island is covered by dense rainforest. The majority of citizens live on the coasts, and a large portion of the nation's economy is found in the fishing industry. Plunis has never developed large industrial capabilities.
Plunis has rarely been a sovereign nation throughout its history. This is due to many factors; the main ones relating to size, terrain, location, population, and industrial capability. Much of the island's history has been under the governance of either Sariais, Wendellia, or Crisconium, and a dispute over the island's status continues between the two of the latter nations. Currently, Plunis has been a protectorate territory of Crisconium for the past 67 years.
