Poleman Weapons is one of only two privately-owned corporations in Glorious Humanity licensed to manufacture and design firearms. The other, Remtek Industries, is not large enough to even consider exporting their products, thus Poleman has a monopoly on weapons sales on the international scene. Due to government restrictions, Poleman may only develop 'personal defense armaments and protective gear' which basically means all their products have to be worn or carried by people. They are not allowed to produce vehicles, aircraft, ships, or any large-scale weaponry.

This restriction has not stopped the corporation from developing some very inventive and useful tools and weapons, such as the Connelly backpack radio, which Poleman advertises as being strong enough to withstand tank shells and still transmit, while still being very light and easy to carry by any radioman. Recent performance in the Psi Revolt suggests they are telling the truth, as many Connelly units survived incredible battlefield conditions. In the city of Loren the radios actually had a higher chance of survival than the soldiers carrying them!

Another Poleman product is the FieldFinder radio tracking device, which is currently issued to all GH special forces units, with a plan to introduce them to the entire military in the next four years. The FieldFinder device is clipped to the soldier's belt, and in conjuction with a radio network it can easily keep track of all soldiers equipped with one of the devices. It is able to accurately pinpoint the location of friendly devices with an error ratio of only about ten feet.

Current Poleman projects include securing manufacture and distribution contracts for the government-designed A-30 assault rifle, as well as releasing a new FieldFinder device that replaces the radio system with an uplink to global positioning satellietes to gain even greater accuracy in locating soldiers.
