Pope 'Indolence' was originally created by Tzar Richard IV as a way for him to control the Roman Catholic Church in Dyelli Beybi. Angered at the Pope's refusal to allow Richard to crusade against non-Catholic States, the Tzar created his own Church to do his bidding. After Richard's assassination, Indolence attempted to exploit the uprisings by Socialist forces in Bath and Cyro to break away from Dyelli Beybi and establish Saint Guineford's as an independent papal state.

Despite initial successes, Indolence's troops were surrounded in the city by forces supporting Tzar George VIII. Indolence was assassinated by a cleric loyal to the Church in Rome and the subsequent infighting among his troops led toan easy victory for the Tzarists.

The death of Indolence led to the majority of the population reverting to Roman Catholicism and the death of the Church of Cyro as the majority religion in Dyelli Beybi.
