Nation stats: The Something Or Other of Pope Lexus X is a massive, economically powerful nation, renowned for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 2.005 billion are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, moralistic government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Religion & Spirituality. The average income tax rate is 100%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Uranium Mining, Arms Manufacturing, and Gambling industries.

Scenic mountain valleys are flooded with water as damming projects get underway, fur coats have become the latest fashion trend, a survey of the nation's rivers and children has shown that pesticide levels are at an all-time regional high, and women who display their ankles are shunned by society. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Pope Lexus X's national animal is the eagle, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the punt.

History of Nation: The nation of Pope Lexus X started out in the South Pacific on the 1st of April 05. Soon after its foundation it joined the United nations and set about creating its own region, Hells Island. This region consisted of 5 other members, who have now ceased to exist.

Pope Lexus X moved back to the South Pacific and later recieved a message from the nation, Fergi The Great, to move to the region of Gatesville. This happened in mid may 05. For some time the nation was unactive until an advertisement was seen for the Delegacy of Secret Organization of NERV, a franchised region of Gatesville. Pope Lexus X went to NERV and became the Delegate there.

At the time there was 7 nations in NERV. Pope Lexus X set about creating a group of recruiters and began bringing nations to NERV. It was a week after that, that Pope Lexus was knighted as a member of the Order of the Gryphons. The Pope served 70 days as Delegate of NERV and in that time turned the region from 7 nations to 42. But before he left the Delegate position, many things occured.

The Pope observed the Franchises and took it upon himself to watch over them. He became an unofficial assistant and helped out the now former Franchise Director Griever. He also was contacted by the Middle Council Advocate Nevadar for a position in her intelligence department, The Corps. (none of any of the things I did there will be revealed here, sorry)

Later several events occured which the Franchise Director Griever and Intelligence Advocate Fergi the Great, left Gatesville with many loyal friends and followers. GSM was appointed the new Franchise Director and Middle Council Advocate, and Nevadar was appointed Intelligence Advocate.

The Pope left Gatesville, NERV, and Nationstates for a period of 2 months. On his return he was made a middle Council member, the Deputy of Franchise Security, and became the Delegate of NERV once more. More recruiting was done and NERV eventually reached over 60 nations. The old team of recruiters was gone sadly, and this was done by the Pope alone.

It was soon after this that GSM, Franchise Director and Delegate of Ireland Australia Axis, left Gatesville with her region. The Pope was made Franchise Director and Deputy of Security.

The franchises were 8 in number and 5 of them were unactive. Those 5 were dropped and the remaining 3 were the focus of the Pope. Sadly all of the assistants had left and the Pope was left with the job on his own. Fortunately, many people came and offered help, Gross Negligence, the Internal Affairs Advocate Mortemis, and Pysker Bearzekers. With their help the franchises grew, but soon the Pope stepped down as Delegate of NERV and Pysker Bearzekers took over.

The franchises remained peaceful, and grew, but after a threat occured in one of them, it was realised that the franchise in question was not active and was dropped.

Also at this time, the Order Of Gryphons became terribly inactive. The Pope took it upon himself to try to revive the order. He sent messages to every member he could and soon the forums began to wake. His quest for its revival into activity was then boosted into success by Grand Duke Sindred who came to the order and helped boost activity immensly. It was soon after that the Pope became Lord Confessor of the order.

After some time and thought it was shown that the franchise system was faulty, and the reality was that they caused more work than they were worth. The original reason they had been created had been long forgotten, and the Pope recognised this. He began creating a system to reform the franchises, and those ideas are presently being debated. The remaining franchises of NERV and Lifestyles of the RichN famous were closed as it was decided they brought about no benefit to Gatesville. The Pope had great difficulty in making that decision, though he knew it must happen, after all he did for NERV, he knew he had no reason to keep it.

The Delegate of Gatesville Noctaurus had stepped down, and the Intelligence Advocate Nevadar became the new Delegate. Pope Lexus X was appointed as the new Intelligence Advocate. And on the 30th of June 06, he resigned from his position.
