  • In NationStates, the national population refers to the number of people living in the nation.
  • The regional population refers to the number of nations in the region. Less commonly, it may also refer to the sum of national populations of nations in the region.
  • There is also a nation called Population.

The Infobox variable population allows nations to include their population in their nation article. NSwiki policy requests nations not to update this value more than once a month or so (except as part of other article enhancements), to avoid unnecessary usage of the server space. Sysops are working on code to automate this value based on NationStates XML feed information.
