The second largest city in Sarzonia with a metropolitan area boasting nearly 80 million people, Portland is known throughout the world as the headquarters of the Portland Iron Works, a world-renowned military contractor selling combat vehicles, warships, aircraft, and munitions. The company's successes led to the city becoming known as the unofficial financial capital of Sarzonia. Later, when the Stock and Mercantile Exchange of Nicksia chose its new headquarters, they departed the nation's largest city for Portland and renamed themselves the Portland Stock Exchange.

Landmarks

PIW Headquarters Building

The first place tourists look for when they arrive at Fennerby Airport in Portland is the PIW Headquarters Building. In this building, the most common attractions are the Jamie Wilson Conference Centre, where meetings of the original PIW board of directors took place, and the Draftroom, where research and development projects are debated and proposed. The PIW headquarters are open for tourists from 1900 to 2300 five nights per week, 1100 to 1900 Saturdays, and from 1200 to 1800 Sundays. Admission is $5 Sarzonian.

The Stock Exchange Building

This building was originally slated to be named the Timotaio Ell Stock Exchange Complex, but strained relations with Pacitalia shelved those plans indefinitely. The building holding the Portland Stock Exchange features an interactive history of the building and the exchange itself, where people can view video glimpses of how the exchange operates and can even participate in mock trading sessions. An interactive game "Virtual Stock Exchange" allows visitors to "trade" stocks and track their progress.

Naval Museum -- Portland Branch

The Portland branch of the Naval Museum includes ships such as the original ISS Praetonia, a Freedom-class pocket superdreadnaught and a replica of the USS Johnston, a Fletcher-class destroyer that fought valiantly at the Battle of Leyte Gulf during World War II.
