Powered Battle Armor refers to an armored suit for an infantryman with an exoskeletal supporting structure and an "enhanced" musculature, typically necessary due to the great mass of the armor.

Classic examples include Heinlein's Mobile Infantry, Battletech's Battle Armor (Elementals), and marine powered armor in Weber's Honorverse.

NationStates examples include:

The Incendiary Combat Exoskeleton from Tahar Joblis along with its larger companions the Omnichassis Realtime Operator suit, the Integrated Recoilless Infantry Support armor unit, and the rather unique Underwater Battlearmor Unit.

The Gou Xiong-1 from Sino.

The Individual Armor Unit in its several varieties from Parlim.
