Season Overview

Rappor FC retained their title after a late season push by Dorpar AC that worried the champions enough to play their key players in the final game of the season against lowly 17th placed Porasse FC, which they won convincingly 3-0. Dorpar AC, however, would not end the season disappointed, having been predicted to finish mid-table at best. Led by Tim James, the Lions' star forward, they captivated the league enroute to their best finish ever, eclipsing last year's 6th place finish. In third place came Aanjar FC, who were led by Khalil Jamhurra. U21 striker Dennis Howard led the team in scoring, nailing in 23 goals. Jamhurra had 12 himself, along with 16 assists.

Unlike Dorpar AC, Rappor FC came into the season as perrenial favorites along with Shoreland United, and they did not disappoint. By mid-season they were 9 points ahead of their nearest competitors, who was Aanjar FC at that time, and despite their late season slip ups, they still managed to capture their 2nd consecutive title without much fuss. With no bonafide star on the team, Rappor have managed to do it simply on outhustling and outworking opposing teams, with a strict never-say-die attitude instilled into the players by manager Jameel Dabkeh, who claimed his 2nd consecutive Manager of the Year award.

Player of the Year

Tim James Dorpar AC

The 21 year old striker nearly lifted his team to the championship singlehandedly, not a small feat considering his age. Bar none the best player in the Premier League this season, James netted in 25 goals to go with his 12 assists as he led Dorpar to a suprising 2nd place finish. Although his scoring tally was down from last year (28), his influence and teamplay improved immensely, and he even captained his club twice in Season Three. He succeeds perhaps the best Nedalian footballer alive, Nene.

Goalkeeper of the Year

Derrell Lynch Captera Athletic

The Lions starting goalkeeper has now won the award for the 3rd consecutive season, cementing his place as Nedalia's best. No goalkeeping talent comes close to this man, and despite his age, he still hasnt lost a step. Has been the Lions man between the sticks since the very first match, and most likely will remain there till he calls it a day. Although Captera didn't fare too well, he still insists that they will be the only club he will play for. If he ever decides otherwise, he will have no shortage of takers.

Defender of the Year

Mohammed Khadra Shoreland United

Despite underachieving this season, Shoreland United will tell you it was anything but the defence's fault. That is because they are led by Khadra in the back, who grabs the award for the 2nd consecutive season. Solid play and consistency have been the name of the game for the 25 year old defender since he burst onto the scene as a U21 star, and his stature has only grown since.

Midfielder of the Year

Khalil Jamhurra Aanjar FC

Was the single most important player in Aanjar's 3rd place finish this season, easily identifying himself as the best Nedalian midfielder currently playing in the Premier League. The 24 year old left footed attacking midfielder had a phenomenal season, delivering 16 assists and scoring 12 goals himself, one of the highest tallies from the midfield position of any player this year. Was bought by Rappor FC for $7 million in the off-season, so he will be looking to make his mark there.
