One of the five provinces of the former nation Aquiliana, Quercus was integrated into the territory of The Protectorate of Starblaydia during their second great expansion.
Though technically containing the former Aquilianan captial of Nidola, that city is treated almost as a seperate entity, leaving the island's most-populated city of Farca, nestled amongst the hilly region, as the Provincial captial. Quercus also contains the city of Viculus, as well as the seat of Lady Viannor, a castle in the mountains.
