The Qutar Football Association has existed since 1932, but a governing body of football in Qutar has existed since 1882. First from 1882-1902 a small body of managers from the top clubs in Qutar at the time formed an association that dealt with discipline in the new league and the regulation of the teams. In 1902 however speculation was rife that this body was becoming corrupt and not acting in the interest of football in Qutar, so the governement of the time formed Qutar Football Bored, with control of all aspects of the game
