Whilst this may sound barbaric and wrong, no citizen is actually forced to fight. Instead, as recruits for the RKAF, citizens are asked to help the army at least once in their lives. Usually this means fundraising, but if one wishes, they can serve in the actual force. Also, all business is requested to contribute to the armed forces every quarter. What the contributors get in return is a well-funded (cash is also siphoned from other areas) army which is usually inactive, but in times of emergency can be brought together to fight. RK will, however, use help from the international community instead of its own forces when given.

Little is known about Random Kingdom and its past, as most RK history was destroyed in the recent RANDOM KINGDOM CIVIL WAR.

The following information is about RK from the end of the Civil War, when the 2nd CSU came to power and all rightists were shipped out, to present day. This period is known as NEW RANDOM KINGDOM.

New Ideas

Since many libraries were abandoned in the Civil War, many ideas were lost. Therefore, NRK has some different ideas when it comes to life. The only problem is my ideas are stupid and shouldn't be read by anyone.

Settlements

New Random Kingdom's cities are usually made up of several areas, including residential zones, or schools, hospitals and houses linked together with vast expanses of open space. Built around these is the downtown, or commercial sector, which includes shops, offices and services, with plazas and well-planned transport systems (most NRK cities near the coast use Venitian-style canals with gondolas and barges). Sex houses are everywhere in most cities, with child prostitution not only being ignored, but actually encouraged. On the outside of a typical settlement is the industrial area, where the main industry, and resource collection (including power, water and garbage) can usually be found. Some NRK settlements are built on hills, with the residential zones higher than the industrial areas. Of course, all of this is centred on the governmental compound, or the council hall and public centres.

Military

Prior to the Civil War, Random Kingdom's armed forces were voluntary but funded loosely by the government. Of course, the Civil War changed all that. Random Kingdom today operates its military according to this law, the RK Defense Act 2001 (RCE). It states that:

All citizens of Random Kingdom are inducted at birth as recruits for the Random Kingdom Armed Forces.

Whilst this may sound barbaric and wrong, no citizen is actually forced to fight. Instead, as recruits for the RKAF, citizens are asked to help the army at least once in their lives. What most citizens don't know is that they are killed if they refuse.
