Rannoch

Home to Ecopoeia’s revered Old Ochayeopoeian distillery (amongst others), Rannoch has achieved renown well beyond what might be expected for a community of less than thirty thousand denizens. Rannoch is not technically a town as such, rather a region of a dozen or so small communities of mostly Celdonian origin dedicated to preserving the ‘auld ways’ of the former occupier.

The scenery is stunning: picturesque buildings huddle around a loch in the shadow of Mt Schiehallion. However, transport links are abysmal, housing arrangements for tourists rather austere and weather usually miserable. Visitors are warned to politely decline any offer of a 'Heartattack and Lime', a less reputable local beverage.
